DIET Bandipora holds District-Level Science Exhibition

Bandipora, Mar 25: A District-Level Science Exhibition under the Project Innovation Program for PM Shri Schools was successfully conducted today at the DIET Complex Bandipore.

The event, held under the dynamic leadership of Principal DIET Bandipore, Abdul Rashid Mir, witnessed enthusiastic participation from 30 students representing 19 PM Shri Schools across the district.

Inaugurating the event, Worthy principal, emphasized the importance of scientific temperament in light of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. He also stressed the need to provide students with ample opportunities to express their innovative ideas and explore scientific solutions. The exhibition showcased novel and creative models, reflecting the young minds’ scientific acumen and problem-solving skills.

Among the participants, Samreena Fayaz from GHS Sumbal secured the first position, while Najma Altaf from HSS Shadipora bagged the second position. The third position was awarded to Sadiya Nissar from GHS Kaloosa

The jury panel, comprising Senior Lecturers Sajad Ahmad Bhat and Zahoor Ahmad Mehdi, meticulously evaluated the projects, appreciating the students’ innovative approaches. Mr.Zahoor Ahmad Mehdi announced the top three positions and delivered a brief deliberation on the importance of project-based learning in fostering scientific knowledge and creativity. All participants were felicitated with certificates and trophies in recognition of their efforts.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Senior Academic Officer Tanvir Ahmad Jan, who acknowledged the contributions of all participants, jury members, and organizers. The event was efficiently coordinated by In-charge Lecturer Shahida Jan.

This initiative serves as a significant platform for nurturing scientific curiosity and innovation among students, aligning with the vision of NEP 2020 and encouraging young minds to explore, experiment, and innovate.
