Gurez|| The Indian Army’s Rana Battalion organized an Iftar gathering today at Rana Post in the Bagtore area, near the Line of Control (LoC) in Gurez Valley, Bandipora district.
A large number of local residents and senior citizens participated in the event.
The Iftar was conducted as part of an initiative to promote communal harmony and maintain strong relations between the Indian Army and the residents of Block Bagtore-Kanzalwan. The attendees expressed gratitude to the Rana Battalion for organizing the gathering and welcomed such initiatives in the future.
During the event, local residents acknowledged the Indian Army’s role in fostering community engagement. They conveyed the desire for similar programs in the future, including celebrations of festivals such as Eid, Holi, Dussehra, and Diwali, together with the army personnel, to further strengthen ties between the army and the border communities.
