DC Administers ‘Jal Shapath’, Emphasizes Collective Responsibility for Water Conservation
Bandipora, March 22: The District Administration Bandipora today observed World Water Day emphasizing the importance of water conservation and sustainable management of water resources.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Manzoor Ahmad Qadri led the observance by administering the ‘Jal Shapath’ at the Mini Secretariat Bandipora, emphasizing the collective commitment to water conservation.
In line with this initiative, the ‘Jal Shapath’ was also administered in all government offices across the district, ensuring widespread participation of officials and employees in the water conservation oath.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Manzoor Ahmad Qadri emphasized the urgent need for water conservation and urged the participants to adopt responsible water usage practices.
M.A.Qadri said, that it is our collective responsibility to conserve the water for the future generations.
The Deputy Commissioner highlighted the Judicious use of water, along with active conservation efforts to prevent scarcity and ensure equitable access of water for all.
He stressed the need for enhanced awareness efforts, encouraging individuals to spread the message of water conservation among their family, friends, and neighbours.
Among others the oath ceremony was attended by ACR Shabir Ahmad Wani, ACD Irfan Bahadur, CPO Mohammad Maqbool Lone, Executive Engineer Jal Shakti Mutayib Bashir, District Officers and officials of different departments and other concerned.
