Jammu, March 21: The Chinar Eco Warriors marked the International Day of Forests with a vibrant event organized by the State Forest Department in Jammu.
The celebration, held in the form of a mela, highlighted the unit’s dedicated efforts in afforestation and ecological conservation across Jammu & Kashmir.
The event was inaugurated by Javed Ahmed Rana, Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment, who commended the Eco Warriors for their commitment to enhancing forest cover and promoting sustainability in the region.
During the event, the Chinar Eco Warriors showcased their ongoing projects and achievements, emphasizing the importance of forests and encouraging community participation in conservation efforts. The initiative aligned with the global theme of the International Day of Forests 2025, reaffirming the J&K Forest Department’s commitment to biodiversity preservation and environmental sustainability.
