Bandipora, April 15: Jammu and Kashmir Haj Committee Monday organised an orientation programme for selected Haj Pilgrims of Bandipora district at Peer Masjid Plan.
The trainers including Tariq Munawar on the occasion delivered detailed PowerPoint presentations highlighting different aspects of Haj.
They informed the selected Haj pilgrims about Hajj Preparations, Do’s and Don’ts during travel, packing of luggage, documentations, Visa, immigrations process, travel between Aziziya to Masjid-e-Haram in Mecca, arrangements at Hotel, Role of Maulim and Khadim, Medical arrangements, Fara’iz and Wajibaat in Hajj and Umrah and wearing of Ehram. Climate, timings and transport facilities available in mecca and medina besides a detailed presentation about the mandatory activities during Haj at Arfat, Mina, Muzdalifa and other mandatory activities during the Haj including Tawaaf, Sa’ye, Ramy al-Jamarat, Sacrifice (Qurbani), Halak and Tawaf Ziyarat.
They also informed the audience about the importance, significance and spiritual aspects of Haj besides narrating the important Do’s and Don’ts during the pilgrimage.
Apart from logistics and rituals a detailed presentation is shown for the use Hajj Sweda app, Nusuk app and the Foreign travel card.
A question answer session was also held during the presentation during which pilgrims posed several questions to clear their doubts and confusions. Lunch and other refreshments were also provided to the audience during the day-long programme.
