Srinagar, March 17 – Acting on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, the Food Safety/Drug and Food Control Organisation conducted intensive inspections of industrial units manufacturing bakery items, sweets, and confectionery in Srinagar to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
A team led by Assistant Commissioner Food Safety Srinagar, Yameen ul Nabi, along with Food Safety Officers Hakeem Adil and Syed Dilpazi, inspected several food manufacturing units in the industrial area of Khanmoh. Surveillance samples were collected to assess the quality of food items being produced.
Meanwhile, another team, comprising Food Safety Officers Fayaz Ahmad Bhat and Khalid Bashir, carried out inspections at canteens in the Children’s Hospital and the JVC market.
