Jammu, March 13: The 12th edition of the India-Kyrgyzstan Joint Special Forces Exercise ‘Khanjar-XII’ is currently underway in Tokmok, Kyrgyzstan, showcasing the growing military cooperation between the two nations.
Elite troops from India’s Parachute Regiment (Special Forces) and Kyrgyzstan’s Scorpion Brigade are undergoing rigorous joint training, focusing on counter-terrorism, high-altitude warfare, sniping, building intervention, and mountain combat tactics. The exercise aims to enhance interoperability and strategic coordination in complex urban and mountainous environments.
Beyond combat training, the troops are engaging in cultural exchanges, with the celebration of Nowruz, a significant festival in Kyrgyzstan, fostering deeper camaraderie and mutual understanding between the forces.
The ongoing exercise underscores the commitment of both nations to strengthening defense ties and preparing their special forces for evolving security challenges.
