Indian Army Organizes Medical, Veterinary Camp in Border Areas of Jammu

Jammu, March 10: The Tiger Division of the Indian Army Monday organized a Medical and Veterinary Camp at Bhurechak Stadium, Mandal, providing crucial healthcare services to remote communities and addressing the well-being of their livestock, which serves as the backbone of their livelihoods.

An official spokesperson said a joint team of Army doctors, medical specialists, and veterinary experts offered free consultations, check-ups, and medicines to over 300 residents and their livestock from far-flung villages.

The team included cardiologists, dermatologists, orthopaedists, dentists, paramedics, and veterinary specialists, ensuring comprehensive medical care.

In addition to treatment, the camp featured awareness sessions on preventive healthcare, hygiene, and livestock management, led by Army medical officers, cardiologists, and senior veterinary surgeons. The initiative was conducted in close collaboration with the Civil Health Department, reinforcing the Army’s unwavering commitment to community service, trust-building, and regional resilience.

Local residents hailed the Army’s efforts, emphasizing the vital role such initiatives play in bridging gaps and fostering harmony. The event further strengthened the Army’s enduring bond with the people, reflecting its guiding principle—”Har Kaam, Desh Ke Naam.”
