MLA Bandipora Calls for Immediate Intervention to Rescue Stranded Drivers and Passengers in Gurez

Bandipora, March 9: MLA Bandipora, Nizam-ud-din Bhat, has raised serious concerns over the plight of people stranded on both sides—drivers and passengers stuck in Bandipora, as well as those stranded in Gurez.Among them,12 drivers from Bandipora have been stranded in Gurez since February 22 due to the delay and denial of chopper service.

“These drivers have been facing severe hardships for the past several days. Given the challenging weather conditions and their growing difficulties, urgent action is needed to facilitate their safe return”, MLA stated.

He urged the district administration to intervene immediately and ensure their evacuation without further delay. “The administration must prioritize their return and take necessary measures to avoid such disruptions in the future,” he added.

MLA Bandipora remains in touch with the concerned authorities and has assured that every possible effort is being made to resolve the issue at the earliest, ensuring the safe return of all stranded individuals.
