Patients Suffer as Dental X-Ray Service Remains Down at DH Bandipora

Bandipora, March 3: Patients visiting the District Hospital Bandipora for dental treatment are facing serious inconvenience as the dental X-ray facility has remained non-functional for over a month.

The disruption has forced patients to seek expensive tests at private diagnostic centers, adding to their financial burden.

Several patients, while talking to Kashmir Convener, expressed frustration over the delay in restoring the service, highlighting that many cannot afford private X-rays, which are essential for diagnosing and treating dental ailments.

“We are being asked to get X-rays from private centers, which cost significantly more. The hospital should provide basic facilities instead of making patients suffer,” said a distressed patient.

Health officials have yet to provide a concrete timeline for restoring the service, further escalating concerns among the public.

Patients and their families have appealed to the Health Minister for urgent intervention to ensure that the hospital resumes dental X-ray services at the earliest.
