PAMPORE, February 13: A devastating fire broke out in the double-storied house of Abdul Majeed Ganie, son of Mohammad Jamal, a resident of Krunchoo, Pampore. This marks the second fire incident in just two days at the same house.
Two days ago, a fire had already damaged the third storey of the house. Unfortunately, before the family could recover, another fire erupted on Thursday, causing significant damage to the second storey. The repeated incidents have left the family in deep distress.
The house owner Abdul Majeed Ganie, has five daughters and the family in deep distress.
Eyewitnesses stated that the Fire and Emergency Services Pampore, with assistance from the Pampore police and local residents, managed to douse the flames and prevent further destruction.
Meanwhile, the affected family urgently appealed for support to help them rebuild their home and recover from their losses.
Mohammad Shafi, a local resident, informed Kashmir Convener that a fire broke out in this residential house two days ago, and today, once again, it has been engulfed in flames. In this fire incident, the second storey has been damaged, and all the belongings in the house have been completely destroyed.
“We appeal to the government to provide full support to Abdul Majeed Ganie, as he has five daughters and no son. We also request the concerned Tehsildar and MLA to ensure that he receives immediate relief”.
Ali Mohammad Ganie, the brother of Abdul Majeed Ganie, said that a fire incident occurred a few days ago in the cow shed, followed by another fire on the third storey, causing a loss worth lakhs of rupees. Now, just two days later, another fire has broken out in the same house, completely damaging all household belongings.
My brother has five daughters, and I appeal to the district administration to provide him with full support so that he can rebuild his life.
