Pampore, January 18: MLA Pampore, Retired Justice Hasnain Masoodi, held a public meeting at the townhall in Pampore on Saturday. Delegations from various areas of the Pampore constituency participated in the meeting to discuss their issues and seek the MLA’s intervention.
During the interaction, residents highlighted a range of pressing concerns, including the lack of basic amenities such as electricity, water, non-functional streetlights in several areas, and the exclusion of deserving individuals from welfare schemes like the BPL category. The delegations urged the MLA to take immediate action to resolve these challenges.
Responding to the grievances, MLA Masoodi assured the attendees that their concerns would be taken seriously and addressed promptly. He committed to raising the issues with the relevant departments to ensure a swift resolution. He also emphasized his dedication to improving the quality of life in the constituency and ensuring equitable development.
The meeting also saw the active participation of party workers, who reiterated their support for the efforts being made to address the needs of the people. MLA Masoodi encouraged open communication and urged residents to continue highlighting their concerns to facilitate effective governance.
This outreach initiative reflects the MLA’s commitment to maintaining close engagement with the public and working collaboratively towards resolving their problems.
Talking to Kashmir Convener MLA Pampore, Retired Justice Hasnain Masoodi, said that many people have come to meet him at townhall Pampore to discuss their various important issues. Among them are several poor individuals who have been excluded from the BPL ration card category and had their PHH ration cards revoked.
In addition, people have highlighted problems related to electricity and water in the area. In Saffron Town, Pampore, streetlights are either non-functional in the Saffron town and some area without streetlights, further adding to the residents’ difficulties.
To address these concerns, we have initiated an outreach programme that allows people to bring their issues to us. We are working towards resolving these problems to benefit the people and improve their lives.
