Bandipora Jan 14: Dr. Parvinder Singh Sudan, Director Animal Husbandry Kashmir, Tuesday conducted an extensive visit to the Bandipora District.
He was warmly welcomed by Chief Animal Husbandry Officer (CAHO) Bandipora Dr. G.A. Lone and Livestock Development Officer (LDO) Sumbal Dr. Parvaiz Ahmad Bhat at the LDO Complex in Sumbal.
Dr. Sudan began his tour by inspecting the Gulshan Dairy Farm in Wangipora Sumbal, followed by visits to the Automatic Milk Collection Unit (AMCU) and Bulk Milk Cooler (BMC) units established under the Holistic Agriculture Development Program (HADP) 2024-25 at Bon Mohalla Hajin. Additionally, he assessed the Duck Farm in Sumbal, taking note of its problems and potential.
Continuing his visit, Dr. Sudan, accompanied by Dr. G.A. Lone, Dr. Khalid Hamid Bhat (BVO Bandipora), and Dr. Parvaiz Ahmad Bhat, toured the Kasperia Dairy Processing Plant at Papchan Bandipora, observing the advancements and contributions of the facility to the local dairy industry.
Later in the day, Dr. Sudan held an extensive review meeting with all Veterinary Assistant Surgeons of the district at the Meeting Hall of the Veterinary Complex in Bandipora. He assessed their performance, addressed ongoing challenges, and provided guidance to enhance the effectiveness of their work.
The visit concluded with Dr. G.A. Lone presenting a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude for the Director’s visit and his valuable insights aimed at improving the district’s animal husbandry sector.
