Rajouri, Dec 28: The Indian Army organized an interaction for Veer Naris and Ex-Servicemen at Thanamandi, Rajouri, under the Indian Army Central Welfare Fund project. The event aimed to address grievances, provide healthcare support, resolve pension-related issues, and ensure the well-being of Veer Naris, Veterans, and their families.
During the gathering, participants were briefed on various initiatives undertaken by the Indian Army to support the welfare of Veer Naris and Ex-Servicemen in the region. Updates were shared on government policies, Digital Life Certificate processes, chatbot services like Sambandh, ECHS and CSD card renewal, pre-recruitment rallies, and other welfare measures planned for the near future.
The event also featured a free medical camp offering consultations, vaccinations, and medicines to help attendees access necessary healthcare services. A lecture was held to promote good eating habits, balanced diets, and personal hygiene for improving overall well-being.
Veer Naris and Ex-Servicemen were felicitated during the event, and representatives from various agencies were present to ensure that concerns were addressed effectively. Attendees pledged to motivate local youth to join the Armed Forces, integrate into the mainstream, and avoid illegal activities like drug peddling.
The interaction served as a platform for open dialogue, strengthening the bond between the Indian Army and the community. A total of five Veer Naris, seven widows, 37 Ex-Servicemen, five children, and one official representative of the Zila Sainik Board participated in the event.
The Indian Army reaffirmed its commitment to the welfare of Veer Naris and Veterans, acknowledging their invaluable contribution to the nation.
