Repora Lar, Ganderbal: Azad Dramatic Cultural Club (ADCC) launched a seven-day workshop for school-going children on Wednesday at its Theatre Studio in Repora. The initiative aims to nurture life skills and provide a creative platform for young minds to discover and develop their hidden talents.
The workshop is open to children between the ages of 8 to 16 years, and organizers believe such programs are vital for building confidence, enhancing communication skills, and fostering creative expression. “This is an excellent opportunity for children to not only learn new skills but also to gain a sense of self-confidence and creativity,” said one of the organizers.
The workshop features a variety of activities, including drama exercises, storytelling, and interactive sessions, ensuring that each participant has an engaging and enriching experience.
Senior artists, including Ghulam Rasool Lone, Masoom Ramzan, and Master Abdul Samad, were present to highlight the importance of theatre in daily life. “Theatre teaches valuable life lessons, such as teamwork, discipline, and empathy,” said Lone, emphasizing the role of performing arts in personal development.
Parents and community members have expressed their appreciation for the Azad Dramatic Cultural Club’s efforts in creating such opportunities for children in the region. “It’s heartening to see such a platform being provided to our children, and we are hopeful that it will help them excel in many aspects of their lives,” said a local parent.
