Sunderbani, Dec 2, 2024: The Minka Battalion of the Kalidhar Brigade, part of the Crossed Sword Division of the Indian Army, organized an Ex-Servicemen Meet in Sunderbani to honor the veterans of the region for their invaluable contributions to the nation.
An official spokesperson said the event served as a platform to recognize the selfless service and sacrifices made by the veterans.
Discussions at the meet focused on leveraging the experience of the veterans to strengthen the Counter-Insurgency grid in the region. The veterans shared valuable insights, offering suggestions on measures to improve infrastructure and resource development, with a particular focus on education and career guidance for the youth. These inputs were welcomed by the serving personnel, highlighting the army’s commitment to enhancing national security through the involvement of veterans.
The event was attended by Brigadier Kapil Tenja, VSM, Commander of the Kalidhar Brigade, and Colonel Rahul Jamwal, Commanding Officer of the Minka Battalion. The veterans expressed their gratitude to the Minka Battalion and Kalidhar Brigade for honoring their services. The successful event underscored the army’s dedication to the welfare of its former personnel and its continued support for strengthening the region’s security and development.
