Nagrota, Nov 16: The Combined Annual Training Camp at the NCC Training Academy in Nagrota became a center of awareness and transformation as cadets participated in a series of enlightening sessions aimed at equipping them with knowledge on health, sustainability, and social responsibility.
An official spokesperson said a key highlight was a session on menstrual health and hygiene conducted by Mr. Raman Singh and his team from Blessing Pads.
The session focused on safe and eco-conscious use of sanitary products, breaking societal taboos, and the importance of hygiene to prevent infections. Cadets, both male and female, left with a deeper understanding of menstrual health and a commitment to promote awareness in their communities.
Dr. Rachna Devi, Assistant Professor at PSPS GCW Gandhinagar, addressed the critical issue of substance abuse, highlighting its devastating impact on individuals and society. She urged cadets to resist peer pressure and prioritize mental and physical health, offering practical strategies for prevention and resilience.
In another impactful session, Mr. Rajat Salgotra, CEO of Samast Eco Alternatives, introduced cadets to innovative waste management practices. His presentation on eco-friendly solutions, such as creating products from biodegradable materials, inspired cadets to embrace environmental conservation. His initiatives, including handcrafted diyas and incense sticks, showcased the potential of sustainability in daily life.
