Srinagar, October 3: Jammu and Kashmir Teachers’ Forum on Wednesday welcomed the government’s decision to restore academic session to November-December.
An official spokesperson of the Forum said the government has today fulfilled a long-standing demand even sooner than expected. Chairman J&K Teachers Forum, M. Ameen Khan, remarked, “The restoration of the academic session to November-December not only meets the aspirations of parents and students but also showcases the government’s commitment to addressing vital educational concerns promptly.”
He lauded the government led by the Hon’ble Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for their swift response.
In a press handout, Chief Spokesperson JKTF Mir Bashir Ahmad conveyed the Forum’s appreciation, noting that the entire leadership, headed by Chairman M. Ameen Khan—who also serves as National Vice President of AISTF—stands in gratitude to the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Education Minister Sakeena Masood Itoo.
“By conceding this demand just two weeks after assuming office, the government has shown a keen sensitivity to the needs of Jammu and Kashmir’s educational sector,” Mir Bashir Ahmad stated.
Khan added, “This proactive decision reflects the government’s strong commitment to the development of Jammu and Kashmir. We look forward to a continued partnership to address the needs of students, parents, and educators.”
Chairman M.
