JKGLTF Delegation Meets MLA Bandipora, Discusses Teachers’ Issues

Bandipora, October 30: A delegation of Jammu and Kashmir General Line Teachers’ Forum (JKGLTF) Bandipora on Wednesday called on MLA Bandipora Nizamudin Bhat at his official residence in Bandipora and congratulated him on getting elected as the legislator for the Bandipora constituency.

An official spokesperson said the delegation was led by district president Abdul Samad Najar. The forum congratulated him for being elected as the member of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly.

On the occasion the forum held a threadbare discussion over the education scenario of the UT in general and Bandipora constituency in particular. The delegation apprised the legislator about the functioning of the education department and also informed him about various issues that hinder the smooth functioning of the department.

Spokesperson said the delegation brought into the notice of MLA the issues including restoration of OPS, proper infrastructure in government schools especially in far flung areas, transfer of teachers from Gurez to Bandipora who were transferred in 2023 ATD, restoration of Oct – Nov Session , transfer of teachers on the basis of education zones instead of revenue zones, creation of senior teacher post, lifting of ban on the recruitment of teachers, establishing one more Girls Higher Secondary School in Bandipora constituency, establishing a Woman’s college in the constituency, providing Principals and Headmasters to headless Higher Secondary schools and High Schools.

JKGLTF Spokesperson said the MLA Bandipora listened to the delegation patiently and assured that the issues in his domain will be addressed on priority basis and the remaining will be brought into the notice of concerned authorities for timely redressal.
