Bandipora, September 06: The first-ever certificate distribution ceremony for the foundational learning and numeracy assessment test (FLNAT) took place at zone Quilmuqam’s Middle School Mantrigam.
The non-literates who appeared in this exam in the month of March 2024 were felicitated with certificates. Around 151 certificates were distributed among neo-literates.
Chief Education Officer (CEO) Bandipora, Kishore Kumar, who was chief guest on the occasion personally handed over the certificates to the qualified students.
He was accompanied by several notable officials, including the Cluster Head and principal HSS Mantrigam Masood ul Hassan ,Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Quilamuqam Mohammad Hussain Lone, District Nodal Officer ULLAS Mir Irfan Maqbool and ZNO ULLAS zone Quilmuqam Javid Iqbal Dar.
During the address, CEO Kishore Kumar spoke about the importance of ULLAS & FLNAT. He enlightened about its implementation in the district and its productive results , emphasizing how such initiatives are shaping the future of education in the region.
District Nodal Officer ULLAS, Mir Irfan Maqbool and Zonal Nodal Officer Javid Iqbal Dar also highlighted the objectives of the ULLAS at regional and national level. They articulated about the significance of ULLAS scheme in ensuring basic education for all.
Moreover, to promote literacy and encourage enrolment in the ULLAS scheme, copies and pencils were distributed to newly identified non-literate individuals in the district. This initiative aims to motivate them to take the first step towards education.
Additionally, primers and banners were provided to Samajik Chetna Kendras to support the establishment of more such centers, enhancing the district’s focus on community education and empowerment.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks presented by ZEO Quilmuqam who expressed his gratitude to all the dignitaries, teachers, and students for their participation in making the event a success.
