Bandipora, Aug 18: The Annual Pilgrimage of Maha-Dhyaneshwar (Chota Amarnath) Yatra is set to begin tomorrow. Coordinator of the pilgrimage, Opendra Koul, while addressing a press conference at Sharda Mandir Kaloosa said that the Pilgrims will depart at 5 AM, traveling by bus to Arin Dardpora before trekking to the cave and returning in the evening.
Koul said that approximately 100 pilgrims are expected, with comprehensive support from the Bandipora Administration, including the water, forest, agriculture, and police departments.
Koul said that the pilgrimage plays a vital role in fostering peace and harmony, drawing visitors from various regions, including those new to Bandipora.
Koul further said that they face existing infrastructure challenges but are working diligently to boost tourism and awareness. “We are including trekking and cultural experiences to appeal to a broad audience.”
The event will continue to evolve, aiming to attract both locals and tourists, with future plans to enhance its scope and visibility, he said.
