Srinagar, Jan 04: Student Leader and National Convenor of Jammu and Kashmir Students Association, Nasir Khuehami here on Wednesday congratulated IPS Arun Mohan Joshi on becoming India's Youngest Inspector General of Police (IGP).
Joshi, hailing from Chakrata, Uttarakhand, is IPS of 2006 batch, achieved this milestone of becoming India's Youngest Inspector General of Police (IGP) at the age of 40. Previously, he has also become the country's youngest IPS at 23.
In a statement, Khuehami expressed his appreciation for Joshi's visionary leadership and empathetic demeanour, characteristics that have defined his professional journey. During his tenure as SSP Dehradun and subsequently as DIG, Joshi played a pivotal role in supporting numerous Kashmiri students during times of unprecedented uncertainties, whenever they faced any harassment.
Khuehami commended Joshi's outstanding service, stating, "Arun Mohan Joshi has not only been a beacon of professional policing but also a kind-hearted human being. His tenure as SSP Dehradun was marked by his unwavering support for Kashmiri students, providing a sense of security during challenging times."
Joshi is known for his seasoned approach and is acknowledged for his non-confrontational style and humble demeanour,he added.
