Bandipora, Dec 22: Inhabitants of several villages, including Takiya Ahmad Shah, Bapora, Arin and Dardpora, are facing protracted network issues due to a non-functional Jio tower near Dilawar Complex in Mirpora Arin.
Locals said that the ongoing problem has persisted for the past two months, raising concerns among the affected consumers.
According to aggrieved consumers, the cause of the prolonged network outage is a controversy over rent issues.
“The landowner, embroiled in a dispute, has reportedly decided to keep the Jio tower dysfunctional, leading to a widespread disruption of services in the region,” said a local, adding “the consumers are bearing the brunt of a dispute unrelated to their usage or preferences.”
The persisting network outage has resulted in considerable inconvenience for the residents of these villages
“Many rely on Jio services for essential communication, and the prolonged disruption has hampered daily activities, affecting both personal and professional aspects of their lives,” the local added.
The affected consumers have appealed to Jio authorities to intervene and expedite there solution of the matter..
