Young Kashmiri Martial Artist Adds Another Feather to His Cap with Gold in National Pencak Silat Championship

Srinagar, June 7: In a triumphant return to the national stage, an 18-year-old boy from Khanyar Sgr, has once again secured the gold medal in the esteemed National Pencak Silat Championship held at Srinagar stadium.

Shah Mutayib, son of Manzoor Ahmad Shah, already adorned with over 40 medals and holding the title of an official and National gold medalist, Mutayib's prowess in pencak silats has been a consistent force. 

“His remarkable achievements extend beyond national borders, with success in Asian championships solidifying his position as a martial arts maestro,” said one of his family members.

“Mutayib's journey to success has been a testament to his unwavering dedication and exceptional skill. This recent triumph reaffirms his dominance in the martial arts arena, outshining competitors from across the country,” he said.

“My consistent success not only reflects my personal commitment but also underscores the rich talent embedded in Kashmir,” Mutayib said.

 Mutayib's role as a referee in martial arts and his continuous victories bring pride and recognition to his hometown.

Having secured gold before, Mutayib stands as a beacon of inspiration for the youth in Kashmir, breaking barriers and proving that age is no impediment to achieving sustained greatness. 

“Shah Mutayib's latest gold medal not only adds to his impressive collection but serves as a source of motivation for aspiring athletes in the valley, encouraging them to pursue their passions with unwavering determination, ” said one of his teachers.
