Bandipora, Nov 15: In adherence to the directives of the District Administration, Government Degree College Ajas collaborated with Kashmir Tibbia College Hospital and Research Centre Shilvath Bandipora to organise an awareness program on Oral Hygiene.
The primary objective was to educate both students and staff on the importance of maintaining good oral health.
The program commenced with a warm welcome from Prof. Dr. Parveen Kouser, the college principal, who underscored the significance of oral health. Dr. Iftikhar Hussain, Medical Superintendent, delivered an introductory speech, and Dr. Sheikh Zehra, a Dental Surgeon, provided valuable insights through a presentation. Topics covered included proper brushing techniques, the impact of diet on oral health, and the importance of regular dental check-ups.
Dignitaries, including Dr. Sheikh Zehra and Dr. Iftikhar Hussain, were honoured with certificates of appreciation for their significant contributions to the awareness program. This acknowledgment aimed to recognize their dedication to promoting oral health.
Prof. Mehraj Din Dar conveyed the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all participants, organisers, and sponsors. He highlighted the collaborative effort that contributed to the program's success and encouraged everyone to incorporate the gained knowledge into their daily lives.
