Quarter Final of Indian Army’s “Battle of Mind” held in Srinagar

Srinagar, Nov 09. The quarter final of the Indian Army’s Grand Quiz programme was held at Chinar Auditorium in Badami Bagh Cantonment on Thursday that was attended by participants of 19 Schools..

An official spokesperson said the quiz-2023 is being organised to celebrate the 25 years of glorious Kargil Victory in 2024. He said Indian Army is undertaking this India’s biggest School Quiz competition through Army Welfare Education Society under Adjutant General Branch of Indian Army. 

Famous as “Battle of Mind”, the quiz made headlines when 32,441 schools across the country registered for Round-1 in online mode and as many as 3600 schools advanced into Round-2. After two online Rounds, only 216 schools in the country made it to Quarter Final Round, of which 19 schools were from Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and Union Territory of Ladakh.

            Spokesperson said a houseful Chinar Auditorium in Badami Bagh Cantonment witnessed, these 19 schools compete in gripping and fiercely fought Quarter Finals with four Rounds of 05 question each and a Rapid Fire round of 10 Questions. 200 school students and teachers from various schools from Srinagar town, NCC students, Army officers, gallantry awardees and prominent sports person witnessed the exciting quarter finals. GOC, 31 Sub Area was Chief Guest on the occasion.

A total of 06 Teams qualified for the Semi Finals which are scheduled tomorrow. All participants and their mentors were awarded Certificates and Cash Prizes by the Chief Guest. The students got the opportunity to witness a motivating movie on Indian Army, weapons display and photo gallery showcasing the achievements of Indian Army. During the interaction with students, the GOC, 31 Sub Area motivated the students to join Indian Army and contribute towards nation building.
