Bandipora, August 02: The 3rd Battalion of CRPF stationed in Bandipora on Tuesday organised a free medical camp in remote villages of Bandipora under civic action programme,
The camp was organised in interior habitations of CA Khan and Sumlar areas and was inaugurated by a senior citizen Abdul Salam of C.A. Khan village, in presence of Mahendra Kumar, Commandant 3 Bn CRPF, Officers of 3 Bn CRPF and other senior citizens.
Abdul Rahi, Sarapanch, Mustaq Ahmed, Asstt Sarapanch of C.A.Khan Panchayat and other officers of CRPF and elected DDC, BDC members of Panchayat where also witnessed the occasion.
An official said the CAP for medical benefit was assisted by Distt hospital Bandipora and Dr Saboor from PHC Ashtangoo, Dr.Wasim from HWC Chandaji, Dr. Jamshed from HWC Aragam, Dr. Jahangir from HWC Benlipora and Dr.Khalid Shah from Distt Hospital Bandipora also participated in extending medical treatment to the local populace.
He said the programme included free medical checkup and distribution of essential medicines for illness. Large numbers of people, especially old aged male and females from the village were benefited by the free medical consultation & treatment.
334 villagers including men women and children were provided medical benefits during the programme. Local residents of C.A.Khan and adjoining villages who received medical benefits highly appreciated the event organized by 3 Bn CRPF.
