Mission Youth schemes helping youth to establish sustainable livelihood at Kulgam

KULGAM, NOVEMBER 21: To facilitate the youth of Jammu and Kashmir to establish a sustainable livelihood, Mission Youth J&K has introduced many self-employment schemes in the UT of J&K like Mumkin, Tejaswini and Spurring etc. 

These schemes are currently in vogue through District Employment and Counseling Centers and district Kulgam has achieved a leading position in their implementation.

Assistant Director Employment Kulgam, Nowshad Anjum Mir said that the District Level Implementation Committee has approved 198 cases under Mumkin Scheme and 81 cases under Tejaswini scheme so far in the district.

148 vehicles have been distributed under the Mumkin scheme with the total on-road price of Rs. 12.06 Crore including twenty percent subsidy amount of Rs. 2.25 Crore and Loan amount of Rs 9.81 Crore. Besides, 30 more cases are submitted to Chairman DLIC Mumkin scheme for final approval and 40 cases are under process. 

Under Tejaswini scheme, 16 cases have been disbursed involving Rs 80 lac loan amount and Rs 8 lac subsidy amount. Besides, 7 more cases stand submitted to Chairman DLIC Tejeswini scheme for final approval.

He added that there is an overwhelming response under the Spurring scheme also and 97 cases have been approved by DLIC so far and 90 cases are under process.
