Bandipora, October 25: Army Goodwill School, Baruaab on Tuesday celebrated its first Annual Day after its inauguration in 2010 with the support of Army Battalion at Baraub.
An official spokesperson said many eminent dignitaries were present at the Annual Day celebration including Brigadier Pranav Kumar and other army officers. All the students and their parents were invited to the function.
The programme started at 1100 hrs with the welcome speech by the students and lighting of ‘Diyas’ by Chief Guest. The students from Kindergarten to Class V entertained everyone with their beautiful dance and drama performances.
The Chief Guest was requested to speak a few words on the auspicious occasion to motivate the students. After delivering the speech, Chief Guest distributed prizes to the rank holders of the school who had brought glory to the school.
The students performed drama on ‘A Soldier’s Life’ and ‘Shaheed Bhagat Singh’. The mind-blowing performances got standing ovation and praises from the audience.
The young students presented dance on Bollywood songs and troupe performance on traditional culture of Tulail. The choir group mesmerised the audience and dignitaries with beautiful melodic songs.
The parents kept cheering for their children who were performing on the stage. After one and a half hour of grand performance by the students, the programme ended with the Head Boy proposing the votes of thanks to the dignitaries and singing of National Anthem by all.
