BANDIPORA, September 29: Chief Animal Husbandry Officer (CAHO) Bandipora, Dr G A Lone Thursday made an extensive visit to the Lumpy Skin Disease (LSD) affected areas viz Gamru, Kulhama, Aragam, Garoora, Chalivan of Block Bandipora.
At Aragam, DDC Member Hajin, Dr Mustafa interacted with the officials of the AHD Bandipora and the farmers of the area.
CAHO assessed the ground level situation of LSD in the said areas and expressed his satisfaction with respect to the treatment protocol being followed and the recovery rate.
He also visited Dairy farms established under IDDS and assured owners that all the livestock of these farms will be vaccinated within 02 Days.
Dr G A Lone at various places interacted with the dairy farmers and advised them to strictly follow all LSD related SOPs so as to prevent spread of the disease.
Dr. Lone further intimated that about 4500 Doses of Vaccine against LSD have already been done and more vaccine is expected to arrive and accordingly the susceptible Population will be vaccinated against the Disease.
