Basic Medical Aid Capsule held at Kanzalwan

Bandipora, September 10: Indian Army stationed in Kanzalwan Village of Gurez Valley near Line of Control (LoC).

An official said as part of Basic Medical aid capsule for the Youth of Kanzalwan, that was started on 27th August, special classes were conducted today at Govt Higher Secondary School, Izmarg. 

He said team consisting of one Nursing Assistant and two BFNAs reached out to students at Government Higher Secondary School Izmarg, educating them about the basic nursing care techniques. 

The Nursing Assistant informed everyone about the general medicines to be used in common illness and the life saving CPR technique.

 The two week long capsule will culminate tomorrow on the occasion of ‘World First Aid day’ with a Medic on Foot by the Youth of Kanzalwan for Kanzalwan. 

Official said Kanzalwan Sub-Sector being a border area has always been devoid of basic medical facilities. Educating school students and youth about Basic Nursing will certainly help in providing first aid during medical emergencies.
