Bandipora, September 03: Mehmooda Fazli wife of late Atta Mohammad Zia and mother of noted journalist Muzamil Jaleel passed away on Saturday morning at her native village Gamroo in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
A large number of people from all walks of life participated in funeral prayers of the deceased that was lead by Imam-e-Hai Moulana Khursheed Anwar Naqashbandi. She was laid to rest at her ancestral graveyard in Gamroo village of Bandipora.
A family member told that congregational Fateh Khawani (Charum) will be held at Gamroo on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, several journalist associations, politicians and civil society members expressed sympathy with the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul.
Kashmir Convener also expressed heartfelt condolences to the family members and journalist Muzamil Jaleel on passing away of his mother.
In this regard a condolence meeting was held at Kashmir Convener Bureau office in Bandipora, presided over by Editor Sheikh Saleem and was attended by several other journalists from Bandipora including Mohammad Sayeed, Ejaz-ul-Haq, Suhail Rather, Owais Farooqi, Wahid Rafique, Waheed Bhat, Abdul Basit besides other staff members of Kashmir Convener. They offered fateh for the departed soul and prayed for patience to the bereaved family.
