Bandipora Police Launches Crackdown on stunt Bikers

Bandipora, 05 August: In view of growing road accidents of motorbikes, Bandipora Police today launched a special drive against drivers driving motorbikes without valid driving license and valid documents.

An official said the police today launched crackdown on the motor vehicle violators especially the bikers making stunts in and around the town, riding bikes rashly and negligently and avoiding wearing crash helmets. The police has seized over 30 bikes on the first day.

Officials said the police recieved specific public complaints during various public meetings that the youth in and around the town regarding fatal stunt and rash driving thus endangering the lives of elderly persons, children and women. " Moreover there were complaints that many youngesters ride bikes without driving liscences and without the proper papers of the bikes with them".

He said Police while acting on these complaints laid various nakas in the town and seized over 30 bikes and has challaned a large number of bikes.

The move has been started by Dysp Hqr Bandipora and SHO's of Bandipora on the directions of Superintendent of Police.

Bandipora Police also requested People to do safe driving and save precious lives.
