Bandipora, March 05: Jammu and Kashmir General Line Teachers Forum (JKGLTF) on Saturday organised a virtual meeting under the aegis of UT President Mr Anwer Hussain Wani.
An official spokesperson said a large number of General Line Teachers from the district participated in the said meeting.
The President of the Forum Mr Anwer Hussain Wani gave detailed account of information regarding recent visit of a delegation of JKGLTF to Jammu and the developments which took place there, to the participants.
The main issues discussed in the meeting among others included the pay anomaly of General Line Teachers of 2009 batch, Annual Transfer Drive (ATD) of GLT, rationalization of teachers and strengthening of JKGLTF at grass root level.
The President told the participants that the pay anomaly of GLTs of 2009 batch is being actively pursued by the leadership and it will be resolved soon.
In the meeting the GLTs of the district put forth their different issues before the core body and the core body assured them that their genuine concerns will be brought into the notice of higher authorities for immediate reddressal.
A number of valuable suggestions were given by some GLTs for strengthening the forum at grass root level which were highly welcomed by the core body.
The core body advised the active members of JKGLTF Bandipora to mobilise all the GLTs in the district by the end of March 2022, and there should be a well organized body of JKGLTF in the district by Ist of April 2022.
UT Organiser JKGLTF Tasneem Ali Beigh, UT Treasurer JKGLTF Gowhar Ahmad Bhat and core member JKGLTF from Bandipora Gh. Nabi and also addressed the participants. The meeting ended with a vote of thanks by JKGLTF organiser from Bandipora.
