Bandipora, 10 Nov: Bandipora Administration on Wednesday launched a massive drive against illegal encroachments and illegal parking in Bandipora town after Kashmir Convener reported about frequent traffic jams in the town owing to illegal encroachments and illegal parkings.
The drive was headed by Dysp Hqr Bandipora Dr Idrees while SHO Bandipora, Naib Tehsildar Ab Rashid, Zeeshan Ahmad, Ali Mohammad, Employees of Municipal Council and President Trade federation accompanied the team. In the drive, Illegal encroachment was removed from footpaths and action was initiated against those violators.
Talking to media officials said that Illegal encroachment will not be tolerated anymore and legal actions will be taken against those who encroach footpaths and roads. Meanwhile public hailed the drive and thanked district administration Bandipora for taking strict action besides appreciating Kashmir Convener for highlighting the issue. Earlier Kashmir Convener carried a story titled, "Illegal car parking leads to frequent traffic mess in Bandipora, commuters suffer". They have appealed to the district administration to continue these drives in future so that people may get relief and move freely.
