Bandipora, Sep 24: A bank employee, who was injured in a road accident on yesterday near Watpora in Bandipora district, succumbed to his injuries on Friday.
The bank employee Jahangeer Ahmad Bhat, son of Sonaullah Bhat of Watapora Bandipora was injured on Wednesday last week in a road accident at Watapora.
Jahangeer received critical injuries in the incident and was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital from where he was referred to Srinagar for advanced treatment.
An offical said that Jahangeer succumbed to his injuries today in srinagar hospital.
A pal of gloom has descended on the watpora village as the people especially his colleagues throng the house of deceased to have the last glimpse of their colleague.
The police have registered a case under and have started further investigation.
