Election of J&K Amateur Soft Tennis Association held at Srinagar

Srinagar, August 16: The General Body Elections of Jammu and Kashmir Amateur Soft Tennis Association were conducted here at Gindun Sports Stadium Rajbagh under the supervision of monitoring committee members nominated by the J&K Sports Council.

          The elections were conducted for a term of 4 years for 2021-25 in which all members from different districts of J&K attended the election process. The whole elections were conducted as per the fresh guidelines, rules and regulations of J&K Sports Council, a recognized sports body of J&K Government.

The re-elected J&K Amateur Soft Tennis Association would be headed by Mohammad Shafi Bhat with Manzoor Ahmad, Sarfaraz Khan and Sameer Ahmad Shah as its Senior Vice President and Vice Presidents of Jammu and Kashmir respectively. Other officer bearers included Dr Ghulam Hassan as Association’s General Secretary, Rashid Aslam and Asif Altaf as Joint Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir respectively with Sheeraz Ahmad as Treasure while Fancy Jan, Abdul Rashid Malik, Mohammad Shafi Ganaie, Indu Bhushan, Najmeen Sofi and Firdous Ahmad will be the Executive members of the Association.

The elections were conducted under the supervision of M A Chashoo, Senior Advocate, who was nominated as Returning Officer by the J&K Sports Council for monitoring of elections of J&K Amateur Soft Tennis Association with assistance of Maqsood Ahmad Khan, Assistant Manager SKISC, Srinagar.

          Jeet Singh, Joint Secretary, Amateur Soft Tennis Federation of India was also present as Observer for monitoring the election proceedings of the Association.
