Doctors perform emergency surgery during night to save a pregnent lady, deliver healthy baby at DH Bandipora

Bandipora, May 07: A team of doctors at District Hospital Bandipora successfully performed a complicated surgery of a  pregnant lady with comorbidities who delivered a healthy baby after the surgery. The lady was shifted from CHC Gurez in a critical condition. 

Consultant surgeon Dr Ishfaq Ahmad said, "he was having multiple ailments and  could have affected the mother and foetus alike". 

A team of doctors including Dr Ishfaq Ahmad, Dr Naseer (Anesthesiologist) Dr Jehangir Ali (Paediatrician) , Amjad Ali and Shahid Ahmad (OT Technicians) , Irshad and Shahid (Anesthesia Technician) besides Farooq Ahmad (Nursing orderly) prepared for the surgery immediately after arrival of the patient and performed a complicates surgery at 2:30 am.

The patient delivered a healthy male baby by way of Lower segment cesarean section. Both-mother as well as the baby are in good health, doctor on duty said.
            Meanwhile Medical Superintendent DH Bandipora congratulated the team of doctors for conducting this rare surgery at the hospital.
