Bandipora, May 25: District Legal Services Authority Bandipora on Tuesday organised a legal awareness programme in collaboration with Govt. Girls High School Sumbal Sonawari through online/Virtual mode as part of the project ‘Access to Justice Phase-II’.
An official said the experts deliberated upon the issue of Domestic Violence prevailing in the society and its legalities.
He said the Para-legal Volunteers, Students, Teachers and Staff members of DLSA Bandipora participated in the programme. Advocate Nawaz ul haq (Panel Lawyer) was resource person for the said programme and delivered talk on Domestic Violence and its implications in the society.
Earlier the District Legal Services Authority Bandipora organized a Legal Awareness Programme regarding the 2nd wave of Covid-19 Pandemic at ADR Center Bandipora last week.
The programme was inaugurated by Fariqa Nazir, Secretary and Sub-judge District Legal Services Authority Bandipora.
Speaking on the occasion Fariqa Nazir apprized the Para Legal Volunteers and other participants about prevailing serge of covid-19 pandemic and its preventive measures and SOPs. She further directed the Para Legal Volunteers to assist poor and needy people in their native villages with strict adherence to SOPs.
PPE Kits including Masks, Sanitizers, Gloves, Face Shields, Eye protection were distributed among the Para Legal Volunteers, Staff members of DLSA/ Staff members of District Court Bandipora.
