COVID19 starts haunting Bandipora again, 06 Shopkeepers tested positive

Bandipora, 06 April:  The COVID-19 infection starts haunting Bandipora town again after six service providers including two butchers tested positive during random sampling in Bandipora town market.

An official said that Six Shopkeepers including two butchers, who run shops at busy main market, tested positive for COVID -19.

The authorities immediately sealed the shops and isolated the shopkeepers. They said the contacts of the ahopkeepers are being identified so that they can be tested as well.


Earlier  a COVID related death was reported in neighbouring Jan Mohallah following which  about a dozen persons were tested positive during testing. The Jan Mohallah locality in Kaloosa has already been declared a containment zone.

The Bandipora District Administration  has established a special vaccine-cum-testing counters at Public places including Bandipora market  where service providers are tested and  vaccinated simultaneously.
