Bandipora, May 09: Kashmir Environmental and Social Organization (KESO) Bandipora on Wednesday celebrated Earth Day 2019 which is being celebrated on 22 April every year to address the burning issues of the country here at Army Goodwill School Bandipora.
Miss Shabnum Principal of the AGS, MrMaqbool Ahmad renewed Artist of District Bandipora, Ishfaq Ahamd Chairman Emergent School of Modern Education were the dignitaries who graced occasion.
Students of different Govt. and Private Schools of the District participated in the said program. The competitions were held in painting, drawing and poster competition Quiz and On Spot Essay writing.
After the healthy and vigorous competition, Ayman Showket, Sumeria Hussian Seerat Tariq were declared as 1st ,2nd and 3rd in secondary category,
Jahan Ara Henri Sa and Aiza Khan topped in primary category by securing 1st, 2nd and third in Primary category while in posters completion Nadiya Hassan, Rabiya Gafoor and Adil Javid were declared as 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively in senior secondary.
Speaking on the occasion Miss Shabnum Principal of the AGS who was also the chief guest distributed the prizes and certificates to all participants while speaking on the occasion the Principal emphasized the role of future generation in protecting the species.
She stressed the students to think green, behave positively and act with car and share towards the nature. She thanked the organizers and stressed them to continue with such programs which would benefit the society in long run and certainly such programs had gained movement when earth quakes and other natural disasters are frequent and wished the Kashmir Environmental and Social Organization to organize such more programs in future in her school.
Speakers appreciated the Kashmir Environmental and Social Organization for organizing such a big event stressed the students to transform their talks in to action. “All the expenditure incurred on the program was born by Ministry of Earth Sciences Govt. of India. The program concluded with the vote of thanks by the by Imtiyaz Rashid”.
