Bandipora, May 03: The Traffic mismanagement in North Kashmir’s Bandipora town continue to irritate the local population as the administration has failed to remove the bottlenecks in smooth movement of traffic.

The district administration especially ARTO has miserably failed to check illegal parking in the town especially at Nussu wherein the truck drivers park their vehicles on already narrow stretch thereby choking the entry point of the town.

Huge traffic jams are witnessed daily from Rahimya Crossing Nussu up-to Bagh Bye-pass road owing to illegal parking of Trucks on the roads from past many years.

Locals allege that the drivers are enjoying impunity as neither civil administration including ARTO Bandipora, nor the Police has been able to act against the violators, they said

The  frequent traffic jams is causing lots of hardships to the daily commuters including Students and Government Employees who have to reach their Schools or offices in Srinagar, Ganderbal, Sumbal, Safapora, Hajin, etc well in time.

Locals alleged that officials of the civil administration and Police are mysteriously allowing the violations thereby keeping the whole town traffic halt for so many years.

Locals appeal the Deputy Commissioner Bandipora to personally intervene in the matter and  pass appropriate directions for acting against the traffic rule violators and remove the bottlenecks in   smooth movement of traffic in the town.
