Tral, May 02 (KNO) : A man was injured after shot at by unidentified gunmen at Kachmulla village of Tral in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thursday evening.
Reports said that unknown gunmen fired upon the man identified as Abdul Rashid @Madan Lal resident of Kachmulla village of Tral belt.
Reports added that Ab Rashid who is associated with BJP has received injuries. A police officer confirmed the incident and said that Ab Rashid was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Soon after the incident, a joint team of Army and SOG launched a cordon-and-search operation in the area to nab the assailants.
Meanwhile, BJP state spokesman, Altaf Thakur told KNO that the injured person was no more affiliated with the party, saying that he was affiliated with BJP till 2014 only.
