“These inhuman, undemocratic and unjustified acts of coercion, can in no way change the ground situation of the state of Jammu and Kashmir,” Geelani said as per a statement issued to KNO.

He said that, were more than a million armed jawans inefficient and insufficient to control the pro-freedom sentiment of people and India was forced to rein in its biased and communal investigative agencies to suffocate and subjugate the populace.

Geelani said “such brutal and psychological warfare has tarnished its own image of democracy and they are labeled as harboring hatred against a particular faith.” Pro-freedom leader said that this is a people’s movement and is supported and nourished in every respect by them, be it financial or emotional and these suppressive measures generate more enthusiasm in the freedom loving nation.

“Although we are weak, suppressed, caged and crushed, but we can never compromise on a vital issue of our sovereignty, identity and freedom,” Geelani said, appealing the nation in general and youth in particular to remain steadfast and committed to their noble cause.
