DDC Bandipora inspects progress on upcoming projects

Stresses on timely completion of works

BANDIPORA, MARCH 08: District Development Commissioner Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza Thursday conducted extensive tour of Bandipora town to take stock of public issues related to basic facilities and inspected ongoing developmental projects.

Assistant Commissioner Revenue Reyaz Ahmad Beigh, Executive Engineers of PDD, PHE and R&B, Assistant Director Fisheries, Executive Officer Municipal Committee Bandipora accompanied the DDC.

The DDC inspected the filling work at New Bus stand and directed for its timely completion and commissioning with all required facilities for the convenience of the commuters and the drivers.  

He later visited the main market and inspected the lanes, link roads, drainage system, street lighting, parks and interacted with traders, vendors, transporters and civil society members to take feedback and suggestions for improving the facilities in the town. He said a project to upgrade the drainage system of the town is in pipeline and will be executed soon. He also directed to expedite the ongoing works on parks and other projects.

At Hassan Khuehami Memorial College, the DDC   inspected the ongoing works on New Block, Gujjar Bakerwal Hostel, auditorium and Girls Hostel of NM Higher Secondary School.   The Deputy Commissioner also inspected the beautification and Flood Protection works on Madhumati Nallah and directed the officers to expedite the works as the weather improves.

Mirza, later visited upcoming Maternity Hospital building and directed executing agency to complete the work at the earliest.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner interacted with the people and received feedback regarding developmental requirements. They   raised various issues and urged the DDC for early redressal of their grievances.
