“SAC withdraws decision regarding grant of Degree Colleges to Ajas, Hajin”; Bhat expresses surprise

Bandipora, Nov 21: Senior PDP leader and former legislator Nizamuddin Bhat has expressed surprise over the reports suggesting modification and withdrawal of SAC decision regarding grant of Degree Colleges to Ajas and Hajin. 

Bhat in a statement said both places deserved College at their places and Governor administration has rightly acknowledged the claim by granting approval. 

"The College sites stand chosen and District Administration with community investment and involvement has fully completed the preliminary process for the establishment. However, reports that decision is being modified and reversed, " he said.

He said the decision will be tantamount to brazen discrimination and denying the legitimate right to people of the areas. ​Bhat said if it happened it will cause serious distress in hundreds of aspirants for higher and quality education. 

He said it is obligatory on Advisor Higher Education that he secures future of the students by sticking to SAC decision without prejudice. 

Bhat said any change in the decision will shake peoples' faith in Governor as guardian of their rights.  He made an appeal that SAC decision be respected and implemented in peoples' interest.
