Bandipora, 03 Nov: Heavy snowfall in the Valley triggered a snow avalanche in Gurez valley’s Tulail area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora District on Saturday.
DC Bandipora Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary tweeted that a snow avalanche struck at Ape Bagh in Tulail village of Gurez area in North Kashmir’s Bandipora District. He said men and machinery have been pressed into service work to clear the area.
However, no loss of life or damage to property reported. Fresh snowfall in many areas of Kashmir also led to the closure of the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway.
