Capacity building tour for Baramulla students concludes

 Baramulla, Nov 01: The capacity building tour, organised for the children of Baramulla district to Delhi – Agra – Dholpur- Bharatpur under the aegis of Kilo Force, was flagged- in today at Uplona.

The tour was flagged off on 20th Oct 2018. A total of twenty students, one teacher and five organising staff formed part of the tour.

The students visited places like Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Humayun Tomb, National Museum, Bangla Sahib Gurudwara and visit of local market in Delhi.  At Agra, the students visited Tajmahal, Agra Fort, Jama Masjid and local market. They also visited slums and interacted with children, in coordination with EK PAHEL, a NGO based in Agra. At Dholpur, the students visited Military  School and Machkund Temple. At Bharatpur , the students visited Bird Sanctuary, Lohagarh Fort, Bankebihari Temple and Government Museum Bharatpur.

During the flagging in ceremony at Uplona on 01 Nov 18, the participants expressed their gratitude to the Army for providing them with such opportunities that exposed them to the rich cultural heritage of the country and also gave them a chance to witness the progress in educational sector and broaden their horizons.
