Nizamuddin Bhat lauds efforts to bring like-minded parties on single platform
Says JKCSCC's unity move, need of the hour
Bandipora, Sep 29: Hailing the concern of JKCSCC on issues of common concern, senior PDP leader Nizamuddin Bhat has said that the amalgam is rendering valuable services towards uniting the society on issues of public importance.
Bhat said that it is heartening to note that this organisation is doing a lot in fighting the legal and political battle to protect Article 35-A and guarantees enshrined in Art. 370.
"The effort to bring like-minded parties and forums on single platform is particularly laudable."
Bhat said political and social fragmentation has caused serious damage to Kashmir polity and society. "The trend needed to be arrested to retain the loosing glory and prowess." He said the silent and visible divisions steal away the basic values which formed the core of Kashmir's ethos and identity.
He said forces inimical find a field day unless there is joint resistence. "It is where the JKCSCC is playing crucial role which should be acknowledged.
Bhat said Kashmir is passing through a critical phase of its history. "The society has to reemerge from shocks and traumas and get the act together for survival, sustenance and assertion of its glorious past."
He appealed the political and religious groups to lend an ear to calls of the civil society in forging unity to strike a common ground so that future of the state's people is built as per their aspirations and distinct traditions.
Bhat hoped that everyone responsible and committed to protect the people's honour and dignity and state's unique character will rise to the occasion and contribute to moves on issue-based unity.
