4.69 Cr being spent on beautification of Bandipora-DDC visits town, inspects GHSS Bandipora

Bandipora, April 28:        An amount of Rs. 4.69 Crore are being spent on the execution of varrious developmental works in Bandipora town under newly formulated beautification plan of Bandipora town.

        This was stated by District Development Commissioner (DDC) Bandipora Khursheed Ahmad Sanai during his visit of the town held today. President Traders Fedration Bandipora and his members besides a good number of people were present on the occasion. 

        The DDC said that Rs. 203 lac are being utilized for upgradition of Nishat Park, Rs.101 lac on the development of Gulshan Chowk and Gulshan Park, whileas Rs 165 lac bening incurred on the installation of Sollar Street Lights from DC Office to NHPC Headquarter Bandipora.

        Responding to the demands of Shopkeepers regarding drainage system of the town , the DDC said that a drainage plan of Rs.498 lac has been approved which will resolve the issue once for all. The DDC also inspected lanes and drains at Khadum Market Bandipora. 

         Earlier, the DDC had a surprise visit of Govt Grils Hr Secondry School Bandipora during which he inspected attendance register of the institution. He also interacted with the students and inspected on going work of additional block in the institution. He directed the executing agency to speed up the pace of work and ensure timely completion of the building. 

        Reveiwing the cleanliness of the school, the DDC asked the concerned Municipal Committee to provide one sweeper to the school on daily bases.

       During his visit , varrious delegations met the DDC and apprised him about their demands. The DDC listened them patiently and assured people that their genuine demands will be concidered on pariorty.
